PTC Weather: It'll Be Nice, But There is Chance for Rain

What to take with you on your outdoor activities during the final weekend of May depends on what kind of weather gambler you are.

According to the National Weather Service forecast, showers and thunderstorms are possible this weekend in the Peachtree Corners area, but the chance for precipitation is 30 percent or below (only 20 percent on Saturday).

Thirty percent sounds pretty low, but if you’re a “safe-not-sorry” person, that may not low enough to leave your rain gear at home when you head outside. (Remember, this is Georgia, and when it heats up for the summer, you know someone somewhere is going to get wet.)

The weather service said high temperatures will be well into the 80s all across north Georgia Saturday and Sunday, with inclement weather possible after 2 p.m. Saturday and after 8 a.m. Sunday.
