Scary Curve at Berkeley Lake Gets Safety Grant

Berkeley Lake has accepted a Georgia Department of Transportation safety grant.

The AJC reports that the $10,000 grant, which required a 30 percent match by the city, has already been used for a safety installation at a curve on Lakeshore Drive.

The curve has been the spot of several recent accidents and a concern for drivers in the city.

Additional safety measures have been installed on the stop-bars at the intersections in Berkeley Walk, Berkeley Field and Miramont subdivisions, the paper reports.
