School News: Student Athletes Recognized
Students from Norcross High, Wesleyan and Duluth High receive scholarships.
Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation announced recently that a new scholarship has been established to recognize Gwinnett scholar athletes who exhibit exceptional character traits on - and off - the football field.
A student athlete from each of the 22 Gwinnett County public and private schools competing through the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) were selected.

The following students from the Peachtree Corners area schools have been awarded "The Gwinnett Touchdown Club Sports Medicine South Scholarship":

"This award recognizes outstanding individuals for whom academic, athletic and community service add to their well-roundedness and their potential to become outstanding citizens in the future," said Dr. Gary Levengood from Sports Medicine South which funded the scholarships.
Each recipient received a $600 scholarship for a total contribution of $13,200.
The GCPS Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable organization dedeicdated to providing financial resurces to enrich and extend education to Gwinnett County Public Schools.
