Scottish Heritage Honored in October
"Honoring Our Scottish Heritage Tour" coincides with 42nd Annual Stone Mountain Highland Games.

When thinking of Scotland, some of the images that come to mind are family clan tartans, bagpipes, medieval castles, Celtic crosses, and the movie Braveheart. Do you wonder about your Scottish heritage? Scottish immigrants to colonial America were key players in the American Revolution for independence from Great Britain.
Members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution* made a week-long pilgrimage βHonoring Our Scottish Heritage Tourβ in October. Some of the iconic venues visited included Balmoral Castle, Queen Elizabethβs summer retreat, Rosslyn Chapel featured in the movie The Da Vinci Code, and President Dwight Eisenhowerβs βScottish White Houseβ designated in honor of his military action in World War II.
