Shakespeare for Kids Comes to Lionheart Theatre
Lionheart hosts Atlanta Shakespeare Company to introduce children to the bard in a fun show.
Lionheart Theatre Company will host the Atlanta Shakespeare Company in a fun-filled introduction to the magic of Shakespeare for elementary school children.
Shakespeare For Kids is dynamic and wacky, 50-minute show that excites children about learning the classics. The production is filled with music, mayhem, friendly sock puppets, crazy costumes and a magic “plot easel” named Pleasel. Your family will be quoting Shakespeare and singing in the aisles.
“We’re thrilled that ASC is coming to Lionheart,” said Sean Casey, Lionheart’s drama camp director. “Students learn that Shakespeare is both understandable and fun. They’ll start to see that many of the good guys, villains and plot twists that they see in contemporary shows like ‘The Lion King’ or ‘Batman’ were first brought to life by Shakespeare.”
