60 Evacuated After Small Hotel Fire Started in Basket of Oil Rags

Around 60 guest and hotel staff were temporarily evacuated due to a small fire reported overnight at the Hilton Garden Inn near Duluth.
The fire, which started in a basket of cooking oil rags, was quickly extinguished by the sprinkler system.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at the hotel located at 2040 Sugarloaf Circle, near the Gwinnett Center.
