Swedish Health Care Company Expanding to Peachtree Corners

Mölnlycke Health Care represents a nearly $1 million investment for the city.

Sweden-based Mölnlycke Health Care, has just announced it will expand its north American headquarters to Peachtree Corners.

The news represents a nearly $1 million capital investment for the city.

It is the third international company this year to establish headquarters in Peachtree Corners, joining the United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) and Haso, Ltd., both of which moved into offices over the past several months.

Mölnlycke produces professional health care brands and is the leading health care product manufacturer in the world according to Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development which announced the news in a press release.

The company will move into a 24,000 square-foot building at 5500 Peachtree Parkway. Sales, marketing, IT, finance and a number of other office support roles are expected to move into the new location.

“Mölnlycke Health Care’s expansion is great news for the City of Peachtree Corners,” said Peachtree Corners Mayor Mike Mason. “The company’s ability to deliver innovation to the marketplace is a win for our community. We are proud of the company’s success.”

The company announced it has made the decision to invest in its U.S. Commercial business, focusing on new business areas, which include over-the-counter/retail and post-acute care products. It also committed to doubling sales over the next six years.

“The new space provides an opportunity for Mölnlycke to continue to expand its U.S. headquarter operations and solidify its long-term commitment to the Peachtree Corners submarket,” said Jeff Kelly, spokesperson for the company.
