Thieves Rob Walmart Wearing Medical Scrubs: WATCH
Gwinnett County Police needs the public's help in identifying four people who robbed the Peachtree Corners Walmart wearing medical scrubs.
PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery Unit needs the public’s help in identifying four people, all wearing medical scrubs, who robbed the Peachtree Corners Walmart of $1,500 in Visa gift cards.
On Thursday, Jan. 11, at around 8 p.m., one man and three women approached a cashier inside a grocery store at 5025 Winters Chapel Road. As the cashier was scanning items, the suspects tried distracting her. The suspects asked for three Visa gift cards. The cashier was asked to load $500 onto each card. As soon as the cards became activated (and before payment could be obtained), the male suspect reached over the counter and grabbed the cards from her hand. All four suspects ran towards the exit.
The cashier attempted to run after the suspects and get the stolen gift cards back. A female suspect in pink scrubs pulled out a can of pepper spray and threatened to spray her.
