Video of Dog Alone on Porch Goes Viral, Neighbors Attempt Break-In
Neighbors who thought the home was abandoned tried to break into the home in Lithia Springs.

Neighbors reportedly tried to break into a Lithia Springs home after a viral video surfaced showing a tied up dog inside that may not have been fed or given water.
The woman in the video complained that Douglas County Animal Control gave the owner a warning, leaving a note on the door.
“So you are telling me that obviously no one has been at this place and you are going to leave a note? I’m outraged. This is ridiculous,” the woman said in the video.

A spokesperson for Douglas County told WSB-TV the dog did not appear to be neglected.
“We don’t take dogs unless there is a danger,” Tallon told the news station. “The dog was in good shape.”

But concerned neighbors who saw the viral video took matters into their own hands.
“There were people actually trying to get into the house because they thought the house was abandoned and the dog was left there,” Tallon told the news station.
Douglas County Animal Control planned to meet with the owner Friday.
