Weather Alert: Chance of Storms in Forecast

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says strong thunderstorms, including some which may be severe, are possible throughout north Georgia Tuesday.

Some of these storms may produce damaging winds, hail up to 1 inch, locally heavy rain and frequent lightning. Localized flooding is possible, too, in areas that receive heavy rain.

The greatest chance for strong storms is this afternoon and evening, the weather service said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement.

High temps are expected to be in the upper 80s.
