Weather: Don't Expect Break From the Scorching Heat
Like you have to be reminded it's summertime in Georgia.

Summer is here, despite what the calendar says (the first day of summer is Sunday, by the way), and north Georgia is experiencing the hottest weather of the year.

High temperatures will be in the 90s throughout the week, and heat indices could break into triple digits, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has already issued heat advisories for east central Georgia, where heat index values are expected to be more than 105 degrees.

“If you must spend time outside, remember to stay hydrated and seek shade often. Keep those pets safe too, provide them with a source of shade and plenty of fresh, clean water.”
