Which Georgia Companies Are Among Nation's Fastest-Growing?

ATLANTA, GA — Georgia is well known as the home of major Fortune 500 companies like The Home Depot, Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines. But the Peach State also has some of the hottest up-and-coming companies in the nation, as well.

Business publication Inc. Magazine has come out with its annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in America. And Georgia is home to 20 of the companies that landed in the list's top 500.

Inc. said it picked the fastest-growing private firms in America because they are "creators."

"They create companies, they create value, and they create jobs — 619,631 of them over the last three years,," the report said. "You'll also discover the newest hot spots, the coolest products, and the people who make it all happen."

The top-ranked Georgia company on the list is Shofur LLC, a charter bus booking and transportation logistics company in Atlanta that made No. 21 on the list.

Founded by Armir Harris in 2012, Shofur's 2016 revenue of $12.1 million represents staggering 10,448-percent growth over the past three years.

Following Shofur on the Georgia list are Thought Logic Consulting (No. 57), Greentek Energy Systems (No. 73) and Nine Line Apparel (No. 85). Thought Logic is based in Atlanta, Greentek in Lawrenceville and Nine Line in Savannah.

All but two of Georgia's Top 500 entries are either in Atlanta or Gwinnett County.
