Will Peachtree Corners Hire a Lobbyist?

The idea has been approved, but city council plans to discuss it more before action is taken.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — There might be one more lobbyist working the hallways under the Gold Dome when the General Assembly convenes this month — thanks to Peachtree Corners.

The city is considering hiring a lobbying firm to represent its interests before the legislature and other state governing bodies.

In December, city council authorized the city manager to acquire the services of a lobbying firm, the AJC reported.

City officials say no formal request has yet been made to hire a lobbyist for Peachtree Corners. Council members anticipate discussing the issue further at their next meeting.

City council meets at 7 p.m. on January 17 at city hall, at 147 Technology Pkwy., Suite 200.
