Woman Sentenced for Boyfriend's 2011 Murder at Peachtree Corners Apartments
Tiquonda Williams was accused of stabbing Tyress Malcome to death with a kitchen knife in late May of 2011.

The woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend in 2011 at a Peachtree Corners apartment complex was found guilty of felony murder Monday in Gwinnett County Superior Court.
Tiquonda Ranell Campbell Williams, 34, was sentenced to life in prison for murdering Tyress Shebre Malcome in late May of 2011 with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.
The altercation occurred at the Highland Lake Apartments on Ashley Lakes Drive, according to police, who said a heated argument preceded the stabbing. Malcome was killed by a single stab wound.

According to the Post’s report, attorneys for Williams argued that the attack was self-defense, brought on by lifelong abuse by men. Williams and Malcome had reportedly been together for 10 years, which included a 2008 arrest after Malcome allegedly assaulted her when she was pregnant.
Prosecutors argued the attack came after a fit of rage not associated to the couple’s past.
