• Ga. woman grateful to be alive after tree hits home during storm (wrdw.com) — Overnight storms from Hurricane Isaias' outer bands sent a tree crashing into a Tucker woman's home and knocked down trees across metro Atlanta, including one leaning against a home in Roswell. Another tree struck a Sandy Springs condominium, but despite dramatic damage, residents like Andrea Corbett say they're simply grateful to be alive as cleanup begins.
• KidStrong Opening at The Collection at Forsyth (whatnow.com) — A new KidStrong center is opening in Cumming next spring, and the franchisee is already scouting a future Roswell location as part of a broader metro Atlanta expansion. The kids' training program focuses on physical, cognitive, and social development through 45‑minute classes. If plans move forward, Roswell families could soon have another local option for youth enrichment.
• Emma Grace Hurley Makes Her Marathon Debut In Chicago (marathonhandbook.com) — Roswell native Emma Grace Hurley, a Fellowship Christian alum, is making her marathon debut today in Chicago after a breakout year on the roads and a historic fifth-place finish at the World Half Marathon Championships. She returned home after college, rekindled her running while coaching locally, then joined Atlanta Track Club before moving to Indianapolis, where she's trained for a potential 2:20‑range performance.
