• Roswell weighs playground upgrades, Masonic Lodge reuse (appenmedia.com) — Roswell leaders are set to vote Tuesday on replacing aging playgrounds at four city parks and advancing plans to turn the historic Masonic Lodge into a live music and arts venue. The council will also weigh downtown redevelopment steps, a major tax allocation district agreement with Fulton County, and adoption of the 2045 Comprehensive Growth Plan that will guide zoning, infrastructure, and neighborhood protections.
• Metro Atlanta restaurant owner murder case closed, alleged killer dies by suicide in Mexico (newsbreak.com) — Roswell police have formally closed the investigation into the 2024 killing of Sandy Springs restaurant owner Blanca Sauer, confirming the suspect died by suicide in Mexico and acted alone. Sauer's body was found near Roswell's Riverwalk Trail, and detectives say they worked with federal and international partners before updating her family and the community on the case's resolution.
• Northern Ridge District names August Eagle Scouts (appenmedia.com) — Several local Scouts connected to Roswell-area troops and churches have just earned the rank of Eagle Scout, completing service projects that helped schools, preserves, churches, and nonprofits across North Fulton. Roswell United Methodist Church sponsors two of the honored Scouts, whose work ranged from refurbishing athletic facilities to creating whimsical pillowcases for hospitalized children. It's a snapshot of youth leadership and service in your broader community.
