3 Teens Charged With Carjacking Elderly Woman
The incident, which originally took place Tuesday at Perimeter Mall, ended with a single-vehicle crash in Sandy Springs.

DUNWOODY, GA -- The Dunwoody Police Department has formally charged the three suspects in connection to a Perimeter Mall carjacking that came to an end in Sandy Springs.
Quentin Demarus Brown, 17, and two 15-year-old male juveniles have each been charged with felony hijacking a motor vehicle, felony elder exploitation and felony fleeing and attempting to elude police, the agency said Wednesday.
Dunwoody police were dispatched to the mall around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 and met with the 69-year-old victim of the incident.

The woman said the three men approached her in the parking lot, brandished a weapon and "demanded that she relinquish control of her silver SUV, which she did," Dunwoody police previously told Patch.
An officer in the area observed the suspects fleeing the area in the stolen vehicle and after a short vehicle pursuit, the vehicle struck an unknown object and came to an uncontrolled stop on Hammond Drive near Glenridge Drive, police previously told Patch.

The three suspects attempted to flee on foot, but were apprehended a short distance from the crash by Sandy Springs police.
The victim was not injured in the incident. Brown is being held at the DeKalb County Jail while the two juveniles are at the DeKalb Count Youth Detention Center.
