Man Choked, Killed Toddler and Mother in Buford, Police Say
A Gwinnett County man is in jail, charged with choking to death a 2-year-old boy and his mother on Easter Sunday. Brandon Williams, 32, of Buford had been charged with one count of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault, Gwinnett County Police said early Monday. He will presumably face a second murder charge after the mother's death, which police announced later Monday morning.

Woman Killed In Valet Parking Collision in Atlanta
A woman was killed overnight Saturday in an accident when a valet driver mistakenly pressed the gas instead of the brake while attempting to park a vehicle. Atlanta police say the driver was trying to put a car into park and attend to the next vehicle at 1057 Junpier Street. Instead, the driver "failed to put the vehicle completely in park as he exited," the agency added.

Cop's Son, 5, Fires Service Weapon Inside Parking Garage
The child of a Clayton County police officer fired the cop's service weapon inside a parking garage last week in Sandy Springs. Officer Welkind Saint-Jean told police he parked his vehicle, and his son got out of his car seat and climbed into the front passenger seat. While Saint-Jean was exiting the vehicle, "his son accessed the glove compartment and retrieved his service weapon," the incident report released by the department states.
