Armed Robbers Steal Cell Phones Valued At $65,000 In Sandy Springs
The armed robbery was reported on the 4th of July at AT&T in Sandy Springs.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Dozens of cell phones valued at $65,000 were stolen during an armed robbery reported on the 4th of July at an AT&T store in Sandy Springs.
Officers were dispatched around 4:26 p.m. Tuesday to the store at 4600 Roswell Road and met with four victims, two store employees and two customers.
According to a report released by the agency, one store employee said a man wearing a dark hoodie came inside and walked quickly to the back of the store. Another male quickly followed, brandishing a handgun and ordering everyone to get on the floor.

A third male hovered by the front door as a possible look out. The man proceeded to zip tie one of the customers and placed his head face down to the floor. Another suspect was heard telling a store employee to go to the back of the store. The employee told police one of the suspects placed a gun into his back and ordered him to lock the door, the report adds.
The employee followed the suspect's commands and once the doors were locked, one of the suspects took money from the cash drawer and forced everyone into a safe room where phones are kept. Once inside the room, a suspect took his wallet and cell phone.

A customer said she was sitting with a sales rep when the doors opened and saw a male holding a gun enter the store. The woman told police she immediately got on the ground in the fetal position.
"She stated that the male demanded her phone and told her to cut it off before he took it from her," the report states, adding the woman pleaded with the suspect not to hurt her.
The woman was forced into the back room where she was also zip tied. Her phone was also tossed aside before the men made made off with a bag filled with stolen phones. Another customer recounted the same story, adding that one of the suspects took a ring off her finger.

According to the report, a total of 68 phones valued at $65,000 were taken during the armed robbery. The woman's ring was valued at $7,000.
The three men were all described as black males in their late teens or early 20's.
