Bank Robbery Under Investigation in Sandy Springs
The suspect, who had a bandage over his right eye, produced no weapon when he demanded money at Wells Fargo on Roswell Road.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Detectives with the Sandy Springs Police Department are investigating a bank robbery reported before lunchtime on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident took place just after 11 a.m. Sept. 6 at Wells Fargo at 8721 Roswell Road.
The suspect passed a note to the teller demanding cash, Sandy Springs police note.

The suspect is described as a black male with facial hair and was wearing a bandage over one eye. The suspect, who was dressed in a blue and white striped shirt and was wearing a white baseball style hat, was seen leaving the bank in a black Dodge Charger.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken, and no weapon was brandished during the incident, police say.

Officers located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's car at Walmart located at 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Road. However, it was determined that it was not the vehicle in question and no arrests were made.
