A former Sandy Springs doctor, Kelly Thrasher is currently serving 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to child molestation charges.

Kelly Thrasher, the former Sandy Springs doctor already serving 25 years on child molestation charges, pleaded guilty this week to four additional charges related to child exploitation in DeKalb County
In the latest indictments, Thrasher was accused of possessing four photos that depicted a 5-year-old in sexually suggestive poses, according to an AJC report. He was sentenced Friday to 20 years on the new charges to be served concurrently with his previous conviction.
Thrasher in late October 2014 pleaded guilty to child molestation and aggravated sexual battery charges in Fulton County Superior Court.

Those charges against Thrasher stem from an incident on Nov. 17, 2012, in which he fondled a girl during a sleepover at his home.
While awaiting trail, Thrasher in October 2013 stole another man’s identity and obtained a passport in the victim’s name, the district attorney’s office said.

Sandy Springs police issued warrants for Thrasher’s arrest. Instead of surrendering to police, however, Thrasher fled the state. A tip led authorities to Thrasher’s whereabouts at a Miami hotel.
Along with pleading guilty to the child molestation charges, Thrasher also entered a guilty plea to identity fraud, forgery in the first degree and forgery in the second degree for obtaining a false passport.
