Act 3 Productions, the professional-level community theater based in Sandy Springs, is creating its first improvisation comedy troupe, and is holding auditions Dec. 3 from 1-3 p.m. and Dec. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the Act 3 Playhouse. Auditions are by appointment only, and are open to actors of all ages. The preferred cast size is 10-12 actors. No preparation is necessary for the audition. Participants will be asked to play shortform improv games, perform open-ended improvised scene work and deliver an improvised monologue. Those auditioning will be judged on theatrical ability as well as improv talent.
