FBI Joins Search For Sandy Springs Bank Robbery Suspect
A man wearing a surgical mask walked into Wells Fargo, brandished a silver firearm and announced the robbery.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The FBI's Atlanta Field Office is offering its services to apprehend the man accused of holding up a Wells Fargo bank late last year in Sandy Springs.
The agency is asking the public to help identify the man responsible for the Dec. 28, 2016, robbery.
A lone male entered Wells Fargo at 124 Glenridge Point Parkway around 4:26 p.m., brandished a silver, semi-automatic handgun and announced the robbery, the FBI said Friday.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late 30’s, about 5 feet, 5 inches in height and weighs around 155 pounds.

He was also sporting a low-cut hair style, and wearing all black clothing, a black baseball hat, gloves and a white surgical/dust mask over his face.
This case is being worked by Sandy Springs detectives and the FBI Atlanta Field Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
