Five Places for Live Music This Holiday Weekend
Rock, jazz and patriotic music is on tap.

- James Taylor and His Legendary Band perform at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at Chastain Park Amphitheater.
- Guitarist and vocalist Michelle Malone takes the stage at 9 p.m. Friday at
- Jazz violinist Ken Ford performs at 7 p.m., Sunday at Taboo2 Bistro and Bar.
- The Atlanta Jazz Festival will draw thousands to Piedmont Park, this weekend. Local performers include the North Atlanta High School Jazz Band at 3 p.m., Sunday. The professional line-up includes jazz violinist Regina Carter at 9 p.m. Saturday; and Ninety Miles, featuring Cuban-American jazz by Stefon Harris, David Sánchez, Christian Scott. A documentary on their musical journey through Havana Cuba received critical acclaim at the Tribeca Jazz Festival.
- A "Patriotic Concert: We Will Never Forget" for military troops and Armed Services veterans will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta. Performances include the full orchestra and soloists, the Chancel Choir and Children’s Choir, and special guests.
