Five Things to Do This Weekend: Music, Comedy, Tree Recycling and More
Events include "Xanadu" at Sandy Springs playhouse, Act 3.

Christmas tree recycling.hosts a special "Bring One for the Chipper," from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday. Trees will be chipped into mulch by The Davey Tree Expert Company. The mulch will be used for public beautification projects and is also available free to the public via this form: http://www.keepgeorgiabeautiful.org/documents/ChristmasTreeMulch.pdf
People who bring their trees for recycling can pick up free vegetable and flower seed packets courtesy of Ferry-Morse Seed Company. Residents can also donate old lights, decorations, and ornaments. They must be separated from the tree in advance.

“Xanadu.” Act 3 Productions, presents the Tony Award-nominated musical through Jan. 15. Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursdays - Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. “Xanadu” is the story of a Greek muse, Kira, who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California to inspire Sonny, a struggling artist, to create a roller disco. But when Kira falls in love with Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and Kira risks eternal banishment to the underworld. The Act 3 Playhouse is located behind Trader Joe’s in Sandy Springs Plaza at the intersection of Roswell Road and Johnson Ferry Road.
