Get Out: Movies Under the Stars, Theater Performances and Family Fun, This Weekend
Five things to do this weekend in Sandy Springs. Remember Drug Take Back Day.

- “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” presents the classic farce through Saturday. The spring musical production, features a cast of 25 students and closes out the 2011-2012 season. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. $15.
- "Steel Magnolias" presented by . It's the story of six very different Southern women who share secrets, fears and love in the comfort of a homegrown beauty salon. From weddings to divorce, births to deaths, these women share their lives with grace, determination and perfectly-coiffed hair! The show runs through May 6. $15
- Movies Under the Stars. Experience the acclaimed movie "October Sky," - based on the book "Rocket Boys," by Homer H. Hickam, Jr. - on a huge, outdoor screen. This event is part of the first annual Sandy Springs Reads community reading event. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. - Dispose of Unwanted Drugs. The Drug Enforcement Administration holds , Saturday. Bring unwanted, unused prescription drugs to the Sandy Springs Police Department at 7840 Roswell Road from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Sandy Springs Touch-A-Truck Family Festival. Bring the whole family for this fun event. Children will get hands-on with a construction truck, tow truck, fire truck, mail truck, race car, police cruiser and more. They can also visit the “kid zone” to jump on inflatables, get their face painted. Local Food Trucks will be selling food and drinks. 10 a.m. Saturday at the $3 admission.
