Lantern Parade Rolls Into Sandy Springs on Saturday

The inaugural event will light up Morgan Falls Overlook Park on June 18 with colorful creations.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Sandy Springs Hospitality & Tourism hope to light up Morgan Falls Overlook Park with its first ever Sandy Springs Lantern Parade.

The event, set for Saturday, June 18, will allow participants to "take it to the river" as they march down Morgan Falls Road to the park with their colorful lanterns leading the way.

The parade will start at North Springs United Methodist Church at 7770 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Be sure to get there early to grab a tasty treat from King of Pops.

Shuttle sponsors, Atlanta Movie Tours and Sandy Springs Recreation & Parks, will be on hand to give attendees a ride back to the church, but you are welcome to team up with a friend and park a car at Morgan Falls Overlook Park prior to the parade.
There is also a safe sidewalk for a return walk. Due to the rolling road closure, please be at the church by 8:30 p.m. to participate in the parade.
