Passenger Killed In Crash On Ga. 400 In Sandy Springs
The collision was reported late Friday near the interchange with I-285 westbound, Sandy Springs police say.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A 19-year-old man died late Friday in a single vehicle crash on Ga. 400 in Sandy Springs.
Officers were dispatched just after 11 p.m. July 20 to the accident on Ga. 400 southbound near the exit to Interstate 285 westbound. A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling southbound when he lost control of the SUV, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Capt. Forrest Bohannon.
A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old John Carpenter of Marietta, died of his injuries. Seth Wheeler, 19, also of Marietta, the driver of the Explorer, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.
