• Sandy Springs to vote Oct. 6 on grant for 1.6-mile Morgan Falls trail extension (roughdraftatlanta.com) — Sandy Springs officials are set to vote Oct. 6 on applying for a grant to help fund a 1.6‑mile extension of the Morgan Falls Trail, potentially expanding the loop to about 3.4 miles. The proposed riverside path would run from Morgan Falls Overlook Park toward Roswell Road, passing waterfalls, apartments, and near the Grogan's Bluff neighborhood, with $5 million already earmarked as a local match.
   

• Sandy Springs entering water supply mediation talks (appenmedia.com) — Sandy Springs leaders are entering mediation with Atlanta over control of the city's troubled water system, aiming to make long‑delayed upgrades and secure reliable service for residents and businesses. In his State of the City, Mayor Rusty Paul also highlighted City Springs 2.0, road projects on Johnson Ferry, Mount Vernon, and Hammond, and the November TSPLOST renewal that would fund future connectivity improvements.
