Police search for driver who ran away after traffic stop in Sandy Springs (fox5atlanta.com) — Police are searching near Sandy Springs and Roswell after a driver fled a traffic stop Thursday evening, and officers are asking people to avoid the Hannover Park Road and Dunwoody Place area. Sandy Springs Police are assisting Roswell officers, but authorities have not released the suspect's identity, description, possible charges, or whether the person may be armed.
   

2. Community Assistance Center gala raises $500,000 to support local families (fultonneighbor.com) — A Sandy Springs–based nonprofit, the Community Assistance Center, has raised $500,000 at its annual gala to help local families in Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and nearby Doraville avoid eviction, access food, and build better careers. The funds will bolster rent assistance, food distribution, and the Thrive workforce program, which is already helping residents boost incomes and move toward long-term financial stability.
   

3. Josh Brolin Sells $4 Million Atlanta Estate After Slashing Price and Admitting He Didn't 'Particularly Like' the Neighborhood (beaumontenterprise.com) — A high-end Sandy Springs estate just sold for $4 million, after actor Josh Brolin cut nearly $1 million from his original asking price. The detailed look inside the seven-bedroom property highlights the kind of luxury homes tucked just outside Atlanta, even as Brolin admits the neighborhood wasn't his style and heads back to California.
   

4. Why Chastain Park neighbors are calling a Halloween concert a safety nightmare (fox5atlanta.com) — A Halloween-night concert at Chastain Park has nearby residents worried about traffic and safety for trick-or-treaters, and organizers are now coordinating plans with Atlanta and Sandy Springs officials. Neighbors say narrow, sidewalk-free streets could become dangerous if more than 6,000 concertgoers arrive during peak candy hours, and they're pushing for stronger traffic controls or a date change.
