Officers arrived on the scene to find the male victim lying on his side in the backyard with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. The victim’s wife was found kneeling next to him.
The woman was interviewed, and she recounted the events leading up to the violent encounter. As she was making dinner, she received a phone call from her husband who said he was on his way home.
Once the call was over, the woman walked out the back door to open the rear gate for her husband. As she ventured outside, the woman said she saw a man walk towards her.
“She initially thought it was her husband until the male pulled a gun and began clicking it,” the incident report states.

The male then pushed the woman inside where she was shoved to the ground and her hands and legs zip tied. At this time, the woman’s husband returned home and entered the house through the garage.
Once he entered the rear patio, the unknown assailant shot the husband and fled the area in an unknown direction.
The only description provided to police of the suspect was that he was wearing a black hoodie and was in possession of a handgun.
A blue gym or tool bag was also found in the family room that was unclaimed by the couple, and the woman said her iPhone and purse were stolen.
As officers canvassed the area for a person matching the description of the suspect, they spoke with two neighbors who said they heard two shots, but they assumed they were fireworks and thought nothing of the occurrence.
The husband was transported to North Fulton Hospital where he was treated for the gunshot wound.
