Pools In The Sandy Spring Area: Time To Cool Off

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Pools are one of the best ways to cool down in the impending Georgia heat. Check out the list below to see when you can hop in for a swim.

Wills Park Pool: 1815 Old Milton Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA

The Wills Park Pool is opening beginning May 27. Its public swim hours are Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, the pool is open to pass-holders and residents from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and is open from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

For admission, the pool costs three dollars per person daily. Kids age three and under are free, and adults aged 50 or more are charged one dollar daily.

Roswell Area Park Pool: 10495 Woodstock Rd, Roswell, GA

The Roswell Area Park Pool is opening on May 27. On Monday to Wednesday, and Friday, the pool is open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lap swim, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for free swim, and from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The pool is closed on Thursdays for maintenance. On Saturdays, the pool will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Residents are charged three dollars a day for admission, non-residents are charged five dollars, and kids under two are free.

Dynamo Swim Center: 5075 Abbotts Bridge Rd # 1000, Alpharetta, GA

The Dynamo Swim Center is an indoor pool with two separate pools. The lesson pool is open: Monday and Wednesday, 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m. to noon, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday, the pool is closed. Sunday, the pool is open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Murphy Candler Park Pool: 1529 W Nancy Creek Dr NE, Atlanta, GA

The Murphy Candler Park Pool is opening on May 25. The pools at Briarwood Park, Lynwood Park and Murphey Candler Park are open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Adults pay three dollars per day, kids 17 and younger pay two dollars a day, and kids two and under are free. Individual passes are available for $50, or $200 for a family pass.
