Riverwood Student Inks Deal To Attend College of the Holy Cross

Lauren Rasmus recently signed a track and field scholarship to attend the school in Massachusetts.

Riverwood International Charter High School senior Lauren Rasmus has committed to attend the College of the Holy Cross.

The student signed a track and field scholarship to attend the private institution located in Worchester, Massachusetts. She was recruited for 400 meter hurdles and heptathlon, Riverwood said.

The future Crusader’s high school career highlights include serving as a member of the varsity cross country team, track and field captain and being named the Most Valuable Player for track and field.

Lauren is a member of the Gazelle Track Club and has participated in four national championships with her team.

She represented the track club at the New Balance National Outdoor Championship and AAU National Championship in the 400 meter hurdles and heptathlon. Lauren is the daughter of Jude and Sean Rasmus of Sandy Springs.
