Road Closures Start Friday For Sandy Springs Festival
The 32nd annual festival will be held Sept. 23-24 and will be presented free of charge.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The 32nd annual Sandy Springs Festival is days away and while this community celebration will bring thousands to the city, motorists should be aware that the two-day event will also necessitate road closures.
The festival will be held Sept. 23-24. However, beginning Friday, Sept. 22 and throughout the weekend, the following roads will be closed:
- Sandy Springs Place will be closed between Sandy Springs Circle and Bluestone Road beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22.
- Hilderbrand Drive will be closed between Sandy Springs Circle and Bluestone Drive beginning at 5 p.m. Sept. 22.
- Sandy Springs Circle will be closed between Mt. Vernon Highway and Sandy Springs Place beginning at 2 p.m. Sept. 22.

Additionally, Mt. Vernon Highway will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 for the festival's Lightning 10K/5K races. Mt. Vernon Highway from Sandy Springs Circle to Roswell Road will also be closed from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. to accommodate community tours of City Springs.
Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. A free shuttle service will be provided by the city and Cooper-Global Transportation at the following locations during the festival:

- Century Springs East/West, 6000-6100 Lake Forrest Road
- Lake Forest Elementary School, 5920 Sandy Springs Circle
- Northside Tower Parking Deck (Behind Signature Bank), 6065 Roswell Road
