Same Car Involved In 2 Sandy Springs Burglaries: Cops

The burglaries were reported Tuesday, July 10 in the area of Johnson Ferry and Abernathy roads.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The Sandy Springs Police Department said a vehicle was involved in two burglaries reported at homes in the central part of the city, and officers are using these incidents to remind residents to call 911 to report anything out of the ordinary.

A black, four-door Chevrolet Impala was seen in the area of Abernathy Road and Johnson Ferry Road on Tuesday, July 10 where the two residential burglaries took place, the agency said on its Facebook page.

"A neighbor saw the vehicle backed in another driveway and heard banging noises," the department said. "A short time later, the front door was kicked in, the house was burglarized and the car was gone."

Residents are reminded to call 9-1-1 to report anything to the Sandy Springs Police Department, as it does not have a non-emergency contact number.
