Sandy Springs Murder Suspect Arrested in California
Patricko Davis, a student at the Art Institute of Atlanta, was arrested Wednesday evening by officials with the U.S. Marshals Service.

The student who was wanted in the killing of a man near The Hub Atlanta has been captured in California.
Patricko Mondrez Davis, 21, was arrested in the city of Bakersfield Wednesday evening by the U.S. Marshal Services’ Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon said in a press relesae.
The operation, Momon added, was carried out in conjunction with U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Davis was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Kern County Jail awaiting extradition, Momon stated.
Davis was wanted in the July 24 shooting death of Takeenen Williams, 23, who was found lying in the parking lot of an office complex that connects the Sheraton Hotel to The Hub.

The Hub, an extended-stay hotel that’s also used for college student housing, is located at 6096 Barfield Road. While Davis is a student at the Art Institute of Atlanta, he was not listed as a resident of the Hub.
Williams, who was shot multiple times, was transported to Grady Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The city of Sandy Springs last month cited The Hub for numerous code violations following annual inspections by Sandy Springs Fire Rescue and Sandy Springs Code Enforcement.
