Sandy Springs Reopens Riverside Drive To Motorists

While the roadway is open, crews will remain on the scene to perform tasks such as erosion control and shoulder work.

Motorists can once again use Riverside Drive at Johnson Ferry Road as part of their travel route, the city of Sandy Springs said on Thursday.

Riverside Drive was reopened Aug. 27, following a three-month project to minimize the sharp curve along the road, install new guardrail and create a safe area for underground utilities to be located.

While the roadway is open, crews will remain on the scene to finalize work such including erosion control and shoulder work.

Residents should note single lane closures will take place over the next week between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists are asked to use added caution while crews are at work.
