School Board Meeting at Dunwoody Springs: Charter System on Agenda

The Fulton County Board of Education will meet at 4 p.m., Tuesday at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School for an update on the charter system process.

Afterwards board members will move into executive session. At 5:30 p.m. the meeting will reconvene in public for a reception to welcome newly named principals, and at 6 p.m., discussion and approval of agenda items will begin.

Last month, Fulton County Schools named Amy Gamble as the . Gamble had been an assistant principal at Vanderlyn Elementary School since 2005.

The school system also just named Vic Shandor an instructional area superintendent, a role in which he will work with principals at Dunwoody Springs Elementary, Ison Springs Elementary, Woodland Elementary, Sandy Springs Charter Middle School and North Springs Charter High School.

Shandor is currently director of the Exceptional Children’s Program of Cabarrus County Schools in North Carolina, and starts in July.

Dunwoody Springs Elementary is located at 8100 Roberts Drive in Sandy Springs.
