Shot Fired After Woman Confronts Ex-Lover At City Springs: Report

The man and woman engaged in a brief tussle Friday at the new city hall site in Sandy Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A woman was arrested Friday after a shot was fired during a confrontation with her ex-lover at City Springs.

The incident comes little more than a week before the city of Sandy Springs will open its new City Hall building.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the woman came to the construction site at 237 Johnson Ferry Road, which is where her former lover was working. During that altercation, she brandished a firearm. The man, the newspaper reports, tried to remove the gun from her hand and a shot was fired into the floor.

The woman, whose identity remains unknown at this time, was arrested, the AJC adds. According to WSB-TV, no one was injured in the incident. Patch has reached out to the city and Sandy Springs police for details. Return for updates.
