Armed Robbery Under Investigation In Sandy Springs

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Sandy Springs police are investigating an armed robbery reported Tuesday evening at Walgreens.

Three suspects, two armed with handguns, entered the store at 7530 Roswell Road around 8 p.m. Jan. 23 and held up the employees, said police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham.

The suspects took a cash drawer from the store and fled the scene. As they left, two gunshots were fired in the parking lot towards a vehicle, Worsham added. No one was injured in the incident.
