Taqueria Tsunami, Stockyard Burgers Now Open In Sandy Springs
A grand opening ceremony for the dual concept restaurants at 5825 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs was held Nov. 7.
Taqueria Tsunami and its sister concept, Stockyard Burgers & Bones, held a ceremony on Tuesday, Nov 7 to celebrate its opening in a shared building space at 5825 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
The restaurants will be located just north of I-285 in the former home of Double Zero Nepoletana, which relocated to Emory Village.
In the 9,986-square-foot building, guests will have the option to dine at either concept - Taqueria Tsunami or Stockyard Burgers & Bones. The restaurants will share a common host counter, parking lot, bathrooms and private dining space; but will offer two completely separate dining and patio spaces, bars and menus.

“Sandy Springs is a booming market right now, and we have received several guest requests to bring our restaurants to the area,” stated owner Alexis Kinsey. “We are excited to open this dual concept layout, which is new for us, but we feel that this site is the perfect size and location to bring the idea to fruition.”
Between the two concepts, the company hired 100 new employees encompassing management, kitchen staff, servers, hosts, expos and dishwashers.

Hours of operation are 11 a.m to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
About Taqueria Tsunami
The Latin-Asian fusion restaurant blends flavors ranging from the Far East to South of the Border. The unique menu offers 13 hand-crafted tacos, including the award winning, "Thai Chicken" Taco. It also features Bowls, Salads, Quesadillas and Appetizer offerings including made-in-house Avocado Egg Rolls and Edamame sprinkled with chili, salt and lime. The drink menu consists of a variety of mixed drinks, such as the Dragon Berry Mojito, and a number of local and craft beers on draft. The dessert menu is one to be anticipated – boasting the Apple and Asian Pear Empanada Pie and Smore’s Egg Rolls, amongst other customer favorites.

Stockyard Burgers & Bones offers an innovative menu in a contemporary-rustic setting. The menu features a variety of Certified Angus Beef and Specialty Burgers, served with hand-cut frites and made-in-house dipping sauce; as well as entrees from the Bones menu consisting of Pork Chops covered in a jalapeno peach glaze, and smoked-in-house Ribs. Stockyard Burgers & Bones boasts a full-service bourbon bar which offers a selection of over 40 bourbons and whiskeys, rotating craft beer and hand-crafted signature cocktails.
The privately-owned parent company, Fork U Concepts, is owned by Scott and Alexis Aleshire-Kinsey. The company operates three concepts with 12 total units: Taqueria Tsunami, Stockyard Burgers & Bones and Pressed Panini Bar. Taqueria Tsunami was founded in 2011, and currently has seven locations throughout Georgia and Kentucky. Stockyard Burgers & Bones was founded in 2014 and currently operates three locations in the Atlanta area.
