Traffic Alert: City To Close Streets For Sandy Springs Festival
Starting Sept. 18, segments of Sandy Springs Place, Sandy Springs Circle, Bluestone Road and Hilderbrand Drive will be closed to motorists.

As the 30th annual Sandy Springs Festival approaches, the city of Sandy Springs is reminding residents and motorists alike that several roads in the festival area will be closed to through traffic.

The Festival takes place this weekend, Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20. Starting Friday, Sept. 18 and throughout the festival, the following roads will be closed:
- Sandy Springs Place will be closed between Sandy Springs Circle and Bluestone Road beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 18;
- Sandy Springs Circle will be closed between Mt. Vernon Highway and Sandy Springs Place beginning at 2 p.m. Sept. 18;
- Bluestone Road will be closed to northbound traffic only beginning at 11 a.m. Sept. 18; and
- Hilderbrand Drive will be closed between Sandy Springs Circle and Bluestone Drive beginning at 5 p.m. Sept. 18.
The above roads will reopen by 10 p.m. Sunday.

Furthermore, Mt. Vernon Highway will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday as the Festival hosts the Doug Kessler 10k/5k Road Race.
Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Free parking is available for guests at the Century Springs East and West office complex located at the corner of Lake Forrest Drive and Hammond Drive.
The Cooper-Global Transportation Shuttle service will drop off and pick up at the Festival’s Gate 4 (Sandy Springs Circle at Hammond Drive) throughout the weekend.
The Sandy Springs Festival is a yearly fundraiser benefiting Heritage Sandy Springs, a non-profit organization serving the community.
