Violent Home Invasion Remains Under Investigation

Two Sandy Springs residents said they were sleeping when two men kicked in their apartment door and beat them up.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Two men said they were attacked during a home invasion reported last week in Sandy Springs. Officers with the police department were dispatched around 12:38 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 to the scene of the crime at 2819 Spring Creek Lane, a residence located at The Cascade at Morgan Falls apartment complex.

Officers arrived and met with the pair, who said they were sleeping when two males "kicked in the door of their apartment and beat them up," an incident report released by the Sandy Springs Police Department states.

Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham said the case remains under investigation, and it doesn't appear anything was taken from the apartment unit. Both victims suffered minor injuries from the assault. He also said the subjects were described as males who range from 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall. No other physical descriptions were provided.

The male subjects were also possibly armed during the incident, Sgt. Worsham notes. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sandy Springs police at 770-551-6900 and leave a message for Detective Sperling.
