GA Woman Shoots At KFC Drive-Thru For No Fork, Napkin: Police

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A 33-year-old Marietta woman was arrested Tuesday after she became upset over not receiving a fork or napkin at a Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-thru and shot into the restaurant, police said.

Jonelle Jade Dare, 33, of Marietta, was arrested Tuesday in Sandy Springs after she shot into a drive-thru window at a KFC in Shelbyville, Kentucky in October, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the KFC about 11:45 a.m. on Oct. 28, Shelbyville police told AJC.com. Police first received a call about a customer shooting into the store with several employees and customers inside, the AJC reported.

No one was injured in the incident, though several employees and patrons were inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting, Shelbyville police told the Louisville Courier Journal.

"Police said after Dare received her meal, she drove forward about two to three feet before pulling out a handgun and firing through the window," the paper said. "Detectives with the Shelbyville Police Department were able to identify Dare after an investigation, and an arrest warrant and extradition request was sent to the U.S. Marshals Office in Atlanta."

A gun matching the one used at the KFC was recovered at Dare's arrest in Sandy Springs on Tuesday, police told the paper.

On Wednesday, Dare waived the right to fight her extradition to Kentucky, sheriff’s office records show.

“Fulton County Sheriff’s deputies have notified authorities in Kentucky that Ms. Dare is available for pick up,” the agency told the AJC. “They have 15 business days to do so.”
