- Police have identified the victim in Friday's deadly Savannah apartment complex shooting as 45-year-old Edward James Futch. A suspect, Charlie Sapp, 54, was quickly taken into custody after he matched a suspect description and was located near the crime scene. Sapp has been charged with murder. (WJCL News)
- Savannah officials are weighing whether to pull the plug on next month's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon over COVID-19 risks. More than 15,000 runners, most of them from out of town, have signed up for the race the weekend of Nov. 6. Mayor Van Johnson's medical advisory board is expected to make a decision soon. - Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives are looking for tips in a shooting that left a juvenile male injured in the area of 37th and Cedar Streets. (Press Release Desk )
