• Pooler city council buys 28 acres near Tom Triplett Park (savannahnow.com) — Pooler’s city council has approved buying nearly 28 acres along U.S. 80 next to Tom Triplett Park for $1.5 million to preserve more local greenspace. The move follows resident concerns about warehouse overdevelopment and comes on top of recent city purchases of wetlands and woodlands using the Pooler Tree Fund. Leaders say they want to shift the conversation toward protecting and expanding green space citywide.
