Tanger Outlets Savannah encourages the community to get moving for a great cause! The center will host its first Back-to-School Color Dash & Splash on Saturday, July 19 starting at 7:30 a.m. benefitting Blessings in a BookBag, a Savannah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports at-need children and families by providing weekend meals, school supplies, uniforms and pantry services.
The morning kicks off with a vibrant 5K race at 8 a.m., followed by a family-friendly Fun Run at 10 a.m.—perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Participants will race through bursts of bright, non-toxic, kid-safe color powder, making for a joyful and unforgettable experience. The Pooler Fire Department will be onsite with a fire truck, spraying down runners and helping everyone cool off between events—an exciting treat for the whole family. Guests are encouraged to donate new backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons and other essential classroom supplies.
Registration is open for the 5K at $25 per participant. The Fun Run at 10 a.m. is free. Interested participants can sign up for both events at RunSignUp.com.
