Description: Unlock the symbolism of historic church interiors with Dr. Herringer at the GMH. Her upcoming talk details the Victorian Gothic revival in British Anglo-Catholic churches. Learn how new features—from raised altars to rood screens—were driven by changes in Eucharistic doctrine. The presentation will also feature local insights into the interior of St. John’s Church.
From the GMH Director: "We cannot understand nineteenth-century architecture without studying churches. Our goal is to bridge that gap."
