Varn &amp; Son Oyster and Crab Factory in Savannah, visitors can experience the Gullah/Geechee culture firsthand. For nearly 100 years, the community of Pin Point was quietly isolated on the banks of the Moon River just south of Savannah. Now, you can explore the refurbished museum complex and experience multimedia presentations, exciting exhibits and unparalleled views of the marsh. 
SCAD Museum of Art
<a href="https://www.scadmoa.org/exhibitions/the-garden-of-wandering-spirits" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Masako Miki 'The Garden of Wandering Spirits'</a>
Masako Miki transforms the gallery into an immersive Japanese-inspired domestic interior that opens onto an imagined garden landscape populated by felted-wool sculptures and watercolor paintings. Her work introduces viewers to enchanted characters known as Yōkai, supernatural beings from Japanese folklore believed to inhabit everyday items and elements of nature such as umbrellas, rocks and trees.
Savannah Children's Museum
Located within the Central of Georgia Railway Carpentry Shop, <a href="https://www.chsgeorgia.org/SCM" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Savannah Children's Museum</a> features over a dozen exhibits designed to expand the imaginations of children including an exploration maze, a reading nook and a sensory garden.

Description:&nbsp; Unlock the symbolism of historic church interiors with Dr. Herringer at the GMH. Her upcoming talk details the Victorian Gothic revival in British Anglo-Catholic churches. Learn how new features—from raised altars to rood screens—were driven by changes in Eucharistic doctrine. The presentation will also feature local insights into the interior of St. John’s Church.
From the GMH Director: "We cannot understand nineteenth-century architecture without studying churches. Our goal is to bridge that gap."
About the speaker: Carol Engelhardt Herringer is Professor of History at Georgia Southern University, where she teaches World History, British history, and a course on vampires in history and culture. She has served as chair of the History department at Georgia Southern University (2019-2024) and before that as chair of the Department of History at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio (2010-2016). She is the author of Victorians and the Virgin Mary: Religion and Gender in England 1830-85 (Manchester UP, 2008) and a number of articles and essays on Victorian religion and culture, as well as the co-editor of Edward Bouverie Pusey and the Oxford Movement
(Anthem, 2012). She is currently working on a book project on the cultural significance of debates over the Eucharist in the Victorian Church of England.
