Georgia State Patrol has confirmed that a man died from his injuries after a pedestrian hit and run on Highway 204 in Savannah. Police are still searching for the owner of the vehicle that hit Kenneth Ma Thompson III, 34, of Lebanon, Pa this past Thursday. The vehicle was reportedly a 2007 Dodge Caravan. (WJCL News Savannah)
The Savannah City Council unanimously approved a $478 million budget for next year.
On Thursday, the city held its final public budget meeting and voted to raise the minimum wage to $15 dollars per hour, make upgrades to the city's police and fire departments, and put $7 million toward affordable housing. The council approved the budget well ahead of the Dec. 31 deadline. (WTOC)
